Christmas Lunch

Christmas Lunch December 9, 2014 The Syracuse Quilt Guild met for a Christmas lunch at Marie Callendar's where they shared conversation, gifts and lots of fun.  It was so good to see so many come out during this busy time of year. Syracuse Quilters November 18, 2014 With Veteran's Day falling on our usual meeting day, the Guild met a week later this month which gave every one a little more time to finish up some projects.  Lots of fun show and tell this month along with a swap meet and elections. Nancy , our President got the meeting rolling and President Elect Jeannette gave a report on next year's National Quilt Day.  Hard to believe but planning for this fun event  gets rolling now.  It will be held on March 20 and 21, 2015, at the Legacy Village Retirement Center.  We need to start thinking about volunteers to help out, items for our booth and a fun demo to share.  Belinda and Nancy will be handling advertising for the event. Two Trunk Shows - October 14, 2014

Syracuse Quilt Guild  October 14, 2014 So much eye candy today, what a wonderful meeting with not One but TWO trunk shows. Nancy talked about the fun time we had at quilt retreat last Saturday.  (scroll on down to take a look at some of the fun that went on.) Guild Updates November's meeting will include elections for next year's officers with Jeannette moving into the President's seat and Becky agreeing to stay on as Secretary/Treasurer if the group wants  So we really just need to elect a Vice-President who then moves to President the following year.  Nancy asked everyone to please consider running for this office.  The November meeting falls on Veterans' Day, November 11, but the group agreed to go ahead and hold the meeting on that day. December's meeting will be our Christmas Luncheon to be held at Marie Callendar's in Layton, on December 9, 2014 at 1:00.  Lots of Show and Tell This Month   First block of the Month Block - 32 inch
