Syracuse Quilt Guild  October 14, 2014 So much eye candy today, what a wonderful meeting with not One but TWO trunk shows. Nancy talked about the fun time we had at quilt retreat last Saturday.  (scroll on down to take a look at some of the fun that went on.) Guild Updates November's meeting will include elections for next year's officers with Jeannette moving into the President's seat and Becky agreeing to stay on as Secretary/Treasurer if the group wants  So we really just need to elect a Vice-President who then moves to President the following year.  Nancy asked everyone to please consider running for this office.  The November meeting falls on Veterans' Day, November 11, but the group agreed to go ahead and hold the meeting on that day. December's meeting will be our Christmas Luncheon to be held at Marie Callendar's in Layton, on December 9, 2014 at 1:00.  Lots of Show and Tell This Month   First block of the Month Block - 32 inch

Quilt Retreat at My Sister's Quilt Shoppe  Logan, Utah October 11, 2014 What a fun day for sewing, talking, eating and most of all catching up with friends.  Little did we know when we scheduled the retreat that it was also Utah State University's homecoming parade and game.  Just as Mardell and I (Becky) started through town we quickly found that the road was closed for the parade.  Just as I was complaining about these huge buses blocking an intersection, I noted that they were the Air Force team buses.  We had to wait until they unloaded the football team at the school where they would prepare for the game.  It was still a lot of fun and we made it to My Girlfriend's Quilt Shoppe  just a little bit late but we still had lots of time to sew, talk and shop. Here are some great pictures from our day together. Diane is really concentrating Nancy working on her Christmas Quilt Yummy food Pauline and Bobi taking a break and catching up Belin
