Hello everyone ... it is me, Nancy, again. Our dear Becky is still out of town, so I am still filling in for her. The quilt guild hopes you are doing ok, Becky. We are thinking of you and many of our other guild members that are presently having some personal issues going on. Hope to see many of you again real soon!! At the meeting, I heard several of you state how busy you have been. I, too, have been busy but am trying very much to pay attention to "Mindfulness". The Utah Quilt Guild's President, Kathy, has been writing each month this year about this very subject. I have also been hearing and reading about this subject in a lot of other places lately, too. Kathy wrote in February's newsletter, "Living in the moment -- also called mindfulness -- is a state of active, open, intentional attention on the present. Hi Ladies, it is me, Nancy. As most of you know, Becky was not able to make our meeting this month, so I gladly filled in for her, which turned out to be an interesting task for me. You see I am not fond of taking pictures with my digital camera because you can't snap pictures fast enough, so decided to use the camera on my new phone that I got in the month of May. I learned after our meeting, that the camera on my new phone has a new feature called, "Live". Bottom line, not all the pictures I took turned out the greatest (and they took forever to upload to my computer), so my apologies. (By the way, I have since turned off the "Live" feature.) Also I am a bit slow with taking notes AND pictures at the same time, which means I might not have all the information correct in this blog. Lastly, I think one of the hardest parts that I think Becky has to do with writing this blog, is deciding which pictures to input. I took probably 75 pictures...
