 Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Meeting November 12, 2024 President Maribeth put together some of the blocks from our fabric stripping activity  from a couple months ago. Announcements December 10th will be our Christmas Party at Chris' Cafe at 56 E. 1700 S., Clearfield 12:45 p.m. Bring fabric that equals 1 yard for the Gift Exchange Comfort Quilts will be gathered at that time. President Maribeth asked for volunteers for Guild Positions for next year. Thanks to those who volunteered Pam - President Kathy - Vice President Lori - Secretary Becky - Treasurer Susan - Door Prizes Marianne - Birthdays Jeanette - Blog Suzanne said that the Utah Quilt Guild is looking for people  to do demos and teach classes for next year. The charm quilts use rectangles 2" x 3 1/2" to make a 9" block (see last month for instructions) Our special guests Ina and Debbie were from InDe'B Quilt Shop Ina demonstrated how to use the Stripology rulers used to cut strips, squares, binding, etc.  qu

 Syracuse Utah Quilters October 8, 2024 Announcements  Next Wednesday will be a Sew-In at the Syracuse, Utah Community Center Bring your own lunch and Sewing Machine Kathy will be teaching how to Machine Bind a Quilt We welcome new quilters to our Guild - Connie and Pauline Barbara will be our new Facebook page Administrator Next Year's Quilt Fest will be October 10th - 14th The theme is "It's a Scrappy World After All" Here's the song to go with the theme. The Quilt Fest challenge quilt will be a 1000 piece charm scrap quilt using  2" x 3 1/2" rectangles with no two fabrics the same.   Sometimes it's called a Potato Chip block or Brocken Courthouse Steps quilt block. The quilt will include 56 blocks with 18 rectangles per block. One block is for the back of the quilt. It was decided that the Comfort Quilts we are making will be donated  to a Retirement Center in Kaysville. Teri showed this pretty outfit she put together for her nephews wedding. She
