Sweet Times at Syracuse Quilt Guild No candy or roses but lots of fun and focus on hearts and paper piecing at the February meeting of the SQG.  We started the meeting with loads of information from Sandra, our area Rep for the Utah Quilt Guild.  Some of the great activities the state guild is sponsoring this year include participation in HMQS as "sack sitters" and the Ruby Jubilee including red and white quilts from all over the state.  The new President, Kathy Porter announced that charity quilts this year will go to Hospice organizations so quilts from lap to twin size can be donated through Sandra; they are also collecting fleece blankets for homeless organizations.  She also said that they are soliciting quilts for the family of Fallen Officers, Doug Barney as well as for Officer John Richey.  These will be presented on May 5.  There are so many more opportunities for participation in great activities with information at the  http://utahquilt...
