SQG Sew-In May 2019

Syracuse Quilters Spend the day at Jewel's Fabric Stash On a beautiful May 14, the SQG got together in Bountiful for a day of sewing, shopping and gabbing at Jewel's Fabric Stash    Just some of the fun quilts hanging at Jewel's. We started off the day with everyone working on their own projects along with a lot of conversation Terri working on her churn dash blocks Jennifer pressing away on her adorable 2 inch gingham patches Pausing to listen  After lunch we took a time out from sewing to share our three fat quarter table runners.  What a fun project where we provided three fat quarters to another quilter in the group to make a table runner providing extra fabric and a good dose of creativity. April 2019 Tips and Tricks

Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild April Meeting This blog entry may be a little short and sweet.  Thanks so much to Nancy for taking pictures and notes during my absence.  I had a wonderful trip but did miss you all and my sewing machine. Marilyn, our area rep, gave some updates.  She spoke about UQSM (which unfortunately is over now) looking for volunteers. Mentioned the upcoming Springville Quilt Show, July 27 - Sep 21 Ruby Jubilee book coming soon.  If you order they are $15.   Need a new editor for the Utah Beeline Newsletter, due to the present one is going on a mission in July.  There  is a year 2020 calendar of pictures of the Opportunity Quilt for sale.  They are $10 a piece and will be for sale at UQSM  Be ready to volunteer for Quilt Fest There were two new ladies at the quilt meeting ...
