Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild September 10, 2024 Co-Vice Presidents Kathy & Nancy opened our meeting this month. Kathy brought her skeleton sewing machine. Some of our Guild members told how much they enjoyed Quilt Fest this year. Suzanne, our Area Representative, announced that next year's Utah Quilt Guild Quilt Fest will held be October 7th - 11th, 2025 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton. The theme will be "It's a Scrappy World." We are encouraged to make a Scrappy Charm Quilt using 2" x 3 1/2" rectangles with no two blocks from the same fabric. It was suggested that we could swap fabrics with other guild members. To organize and keep track of which fabrics were used the "bricks" could be put in see through bags organized by colors. There will be a quilt show September 21st West Haven City Hall from 5 - 8pm. September 13th - 14th is the Garden of Quilts Exhibit at Thanksgiving Point. There is an admission charge.
