Hello Fellow Quilters! Welcome to another year of great times at the Syracuse Quilt Guild .   We started off our first meeting of the year with Pam White, our new president, introducing her goals for this year.  They are: 1.   Get to know everyone !  Pam invites us all to wear a name tag to future meetings.  If you have one from a previous meeting, Quilt Fest, or anything else, feel free to wear it to our next meeting.  2.   Promote Quilting .  Pam and her board have lots of fun speakers, events, and even a field trip planned for 2017.   3.   Have fun!  4.   Make charity quilts.   5.   See a lot of beautiful quilts! So be sure to bring anything you have finished for Sew & Tell every time month.   Next, Pam showed us how to make perfect circles .  We were all wowed by how simple her technique is, and how perfect those circles really are.   She also went over quilt labels...

The Syracuse Quilt Guild got together to celebrate the Christmas Season at the Hug Hess Restaurant in Syracuse on Tuesday December 13.  Everyone had a wonderful time with yummy food, lots of conversation, a fun gift exchange and some beautiful Sew and Tell. Election Day 2016 Wasn't just election day for the United States, it was also election day for the Syracuse Quilt Guild. What a fun meeting.  We started out with a visit from Emily Taylor of  Pattern Jam  showing us all the fun products her company has to offer, along with the amazing software that allows you to design your own quilts and see them come to life in the fabrics of your choice.  Emily shared her story of building a company based on her own designs, a lot of hard work and a crazy life. Who knew panels could be so amazing and fun.  Each of these panels can be printed in different color ways on fabric 56" wide and all you have to do is add borders, or not, quilt them and they are ready to go.    These deer heads come in three different color ways and is a very popular pattern.
