Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild

September 9, 2025

We had an amazing guest speaker, Nannette Holmberg,
the talented creator of Chenille-It Blooming Bias Tape.

She demonstrated how to apply her Chenille-It to our quilts
and had a trunk show of her many beautiful quilts.

She also told us about her interesting background as a clothing designer
of wedding dresses.

 Check out her web pages.

Announcements

Pam reminded us to wear our name tags so we can get to know each other.

Thanks to Nancy for bringing a kit to give to one lucky person.

The next Sew In will be Thursday September 25th, from 9 - 5
at the North Davis Senior Center in Clearfield.
Bring your machine, extension cord, lunch, and $2.00

Our next meeting will be October 14th.

Pam has batting and there is backing for Comfort Quilts.

Pam showed our Quilt of Valor quilt with the blocks we made.
Pam sewed it together and quilted it with Minky on the back.
Nominations are open as to who it will go to.

This is another quilt we are doing together.
Pam passed out the pattern and instructions.
We are to use pastels for the flowers
and have tone on tone white for the background fabric.
Please return the blocks by the October or November meetings.
There will be a drawing for someone to win the finished quilt in December
(for those who made blocks).
We don't have to be present to win.

A Wonky Zig Zag quilt with no piecing or seams.

This quilt was published in a magazine.

Pillows using her Chenille.
She uses glue stick to hold down the squares and the chenille on the fabric
and then sews chenille to the outer edges.

Cute Christmas Pillows

Christmas panels with Chenille-It added.

She used quilting stencils for the design where she added Chenille-It.

She has patterns for these two beautiful quilts and many others including kits.
