Announcements
National Quilt Day is March 21st. Celebrate at the Sandy Senior Center Sew-in.
Lori Hamby has made name tags for those who want them.
Pam has batting and backing for comfort quilts.
Thanks to Teri for the brownies she made us for Valentine's Day.
Suzanne asked that we go to our Facebook Page, Syracuse Utah Quilters,
and text "Hi" if we want to remain members of our Facebook page.
Inactive people will be removed.
February 26th is the next Sew-in at the North Davis Senior Center
in Clearfield. The cost is $2 per person.
These Sew-ins occur on the 4th Thursday of the month from 9-5.
They also serve seniors lunch for a $3 donation.
Angy, one of our Program Directors, made up a calendar of our
Activities for the coming year.
There will be three presentations next month.
1. Resizing A Quilt Block
2. Three Favorite Rulers
3. Sewing Room Organization
Maribeth and Lorie made Pattern Weights to give out for Birthdays this year.
Our Block of the month for March is to be made in Green and White fabrics.
Presentation on Stabilizers
Jan Wood gave us some great information on stabilizers for quilting
and machine embroidery. She brought lots of examples.
Jan & Angy put together a great handout to go with the presentation.

Jennifer as this month's Gadget Girl showed her armchair sewing kit.
Maria announced that the Syracuse Museum would like quilts to display
in Celebration of our Country's 250 year birthday.
They have also requested the Guild make a quilt for the Museum
and have a quilt to tie at the Museum for Heritage Days.
Sew and Tell
Kathy showed her fun tic-tac-toe quilt.
This is the back using some fabric donated to the Guild last month.
This is Kathy's pretty "Birds on a Wire" quilt using wool and embroidery.
Marlene modeled her cute Valentine's Vest
Suzanne finished a quilt top given to her that she donated to become a comfort quilt.
Teri brought her finished king sized "Scrap Trip Around the World" quilt.
Pam quilted it for her.
Marie made this cute pink baby quilt twice.
She also showed the red, white and blue quilt that her daughter made the top for
and Marie quilted it on a long arm machine using an edge to edge pattern.
Barbara showed her red, white and blue table topper.
Becky sewed this cute little Valentine quilt and a Valentine hot pad.
Laurie's sewing machine broke down so she crocheted this afghan to donate.
Laurie has been working finishing some quilt tops Connie brought.
They will become Comfort quilts.
Pam showed this darling baby quilt she made for a grandbaby.
She has been working on monthly wool applique blocks. This one is for February.
Jan has made two of these striking Kaffe fabric quilts The blocks look like N's and Z's
depending on which way they are turned.
Pam quilted it using purple thread.
Teresa made this cute Raggedy Ann doll.
Marrianne finished her "God and Country" quilt.
Jennifer quilted it with Cowboy Boots and Stars.
Jeanette finished this appliqued circle quilt. Margo had made the circles out of batiks
and Jeanette appliqued them and machine quilted it.
She also showed her Dresden Plate quilt quilted by her daughter.
Pauline made this amazing Bargello heart quilt and then made a pillow
using the leftover fabric.
Kathy showed her cute quilted purse she started at Quilt Fest.
She used some of Margo's fabric to make a Quilted Shawl Hug.
It has a fabric covered button. She shared copies of the pattern and instructions.

Ami started this quilt 10 years ago and it was supposed to be bigger.
She decided to finish it as is.
Donated Quilts this month.
