I was going over some of my notes and forgot to add to my last post to the blog a couple of tidbits I found interesting about our group.  I am sure these tidbits have been mentioned before during a past meeting but it is finally registering in my brain (growing old and having a memory is not always happening LOL).  Anyways while we were voting in our new officers, it was brought up how long we have been a quilt guild and who was the first president.  So congratulations to us all for being a guild for 11 years. And for Olivia being the very first president back then.  Very interesting stuff.  Ok … hope to see everyone at December's meeting/luncheon.

  Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild September 9, 2025 We had an amazing guest speaker, Nannette Holmberg,   the talented creator of Chenille-It Blooming Bias Tape . She demonstrated how to apply her Chenille-It to our quilts and had a trunk show of her many beautiful quilts. She also told us about her interesting background as a clothing designer  of wedding dresses.  Check out her web pages.   Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Meeting August 12, 2025 We were asked to bring baby quilts to show. Pam welcomed everyone to our meeting. Announcements: Monthly Sew-in on August 28th and September 25th 9am - 5pm At the North Davis Senior Center, 42 State Street, Clearfield Bring a lunch, $2, sewing machine and extension cords. Next Month's Special Guest, Nannette Holmberg , who is the creator of Chenille-It  will bring a trunk show and product to buy. Bring  your friends. No Show and Tell in September. The Aviary Quilt Show is at the Brigham City Museum thru September 27th.  Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Meeting November 12, 2024 President Maribeth put together some of the blocks from our fabric stripping activity  from a couple months ago. Announcements December 10th will be our Christmas Party at Chris' Cafe at 56 E. 1700 S., Clearfield 12:45 p.m. Bring fabric that equals 1 yard for the Gift Exchange Comfort Quilts will be gathered at that time. President Maribeth asked for volunteers for Guild Positions for next year.
