A Green Meeting of the Syracuse Quilt Guild
What a fun meeting full on information, sharing and a beautiful trunk show. The Guild is growing with three new members and guests.
News from Utah Quilt Guild
Sandra shared lots of news from the Utah Quilt Guild including information on renewing or joining before March 25 to be entered in a drawing for a Featherweight Machine. She also has the fabric pieces for the Challenge Quilt for Quilt Fest raising funds for heart research. The quilt must use the fabric and include an embellished leaf and be no larger than 40" x 40"
She also shared information on the donation quilts for the Women's Shelter. Large quilts should be no larger than 54-64 wide by 68-76 long and crib quilts can be 36-45 wide by 45-54 long. There will also be a Sew-In on April 15 and 22 at K&H Quilt Shoppe in Kaysville sponsored by Cindy Hutchinson, Utah Quilt Guild President. Pre-registration is required.
Upcoming events and notes
Our President, Jeanette updated the group on the upcoming National Quilt Day on March 20-21 at the Fairfield Retirement Village on Fairfield in Layton. She still had openings for volunteers and encouraged everyone to attend and bring their friends. We will be demonstrating a cute pinwheel block and we have lots of cute things to sell in our booth but still need some quilts to show.
