Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Meeting November 12, 2024 President Maribeth put together some of the blocks from our fabric stripping activity from a couple months ago. Announcements December 10th will be our Christmas Party at Chris' Cafe at 56 E. 1700 S., Clearfield 12:45 p.m. Bring fabric that equals 1 yard for the Gift Exchange Comfort Quilts will be gathered at that time. Janet showed her fall tree quilt made with yoyos. Janet also showed her red and white hexagon flowers that she has been working on. Barbara shared her amazing row quilt. Nancy finished her Christmas quilt and updated us on herself and Margo's health challenges. Pam made this fun quilt that she donated to Jennifer's charity project.
May 10, 2022 was the Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Bingo. It is an ongoing annual tradition for our guild. Everyone is asked to bring items for prizes, and desserts or treats. There were lots of prizes to choose from and four gift cards bought by the guild were won at the end of the Bingo. Our Utah Quit Guild Representative, Marilyn updated us on upcoming virtual quilt shows including Gems, Dance, and Tribute. Shop Hop is in progress this week. Hours are 10-6 weekdays and 10-5 on Saturday. Tickets are available online. Marilyn passed out discount coupons and information for the Salt Lake Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival to be held May 19th, 20th and 21st, at the Mountain America Expo Center. Utah Quilt Guild Fest brochures will only be online this year. There will be a member mall. Members may sell their quilts at Quilt Fest. Nominations for the Silver Thimble Award are open.
