Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Meeting

The March 10, 2020 meeting was opened by Becky, our President.
Marilyn: the Utah Quilt Guild Representative 


  • World World Wide Quilting Day is March 21 at 9:00 AM. 
  • Quilt Fest Brochures will be mailed on May 1st.
  • March 31 last date to join or renew to get into the AccuQuilt drawing. She has membership applications if you need one.
  • Alice card challenge still has cards available, please contact Liz Turlink for information. 


Nancy: Million dollar pillowcases.  We have collected 25 pillowcases so far. 


Sew N Tell:

Margo:   Photo quilt for a friend with Pancreatic Cancer.  June Taylor has a great fabric that you make the photo squares with an Ink Jet Printer.  It also works well for quilt labels. 


Pam: Just retired and bought a long arm. This is the first quilt she made on the long arm machine.  The quilt had a fox pattern and the back was minky fabric.  



Pam’s second quilt was a Wool Applique block of the month.


Mardell:  Negative Shamrock Quilt.


Suzanne:  Dinner Plate Quilt, quilted by Jennifer.


Suzanne's other quilt was a Black and White with color.  This was made for her son. Blocks are from 14 or 15 years ago.  


Marilyn:  Charity Quilt all made from scraps.




Laurie Nichols:  Bright Churn Dash Squares.



Becky:  Shamrock Table runner


Bonnie Hunter: Frolic Mystery Quilt


Margo:  Demonstration of Spiral Table runner.  
Next month: 
Speaker Emily Bailey, Quilt Designer will share her love of quilting.

  Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild September 9, 2025 We had an amazing guest speaker, Nannette Holmberg,   the talented creator of Chenille-It Blooming Bias Tape . She demonstrated how to apply her Chenille-It to our quilts and had a trunk show of her many beautiful quilts. She also told us about her interesting background as a clothing designer  of wedding dresses.  Check out her web pages. Announcements Pam reminded us to wear our name tags so we can get to know each other. Thanks to Nancy for bringing a kit to give to one lucky person. The next Sew In will be Thursday September 25th, from 9 - 5  at the North Davis  Senior Center in Clearfield.   Bring your machine, extension cord, lunch, and $2.00 Our next meeting will be October 14th.   Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Meeting August 12, 2025 We were asked to bring baby quilts to show. Pam welcomed everyone to our meeting. Announcements: Monthly Sew-in on August 28th and September 25th 9am - 5pm At the North Davis Senior Center, 42 State Street, Clearfield Bring a lunch, $2, sewing machine and extension cords. Next Month's Special Guest, Nannette Holmberg , who is the creator of Chenille-It  will bring a trunk show and product to buy. Bring  your friends. No Show and Tell in September. The Aviary Quilt Show is at the Brigham City Museum thru September 27th. The Quilt will go to Lori's nephew who served two tours as a Marine in Afghanistan.  Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Meeting November 12, 2024 President Maribeth put together some of the blocks from our fabric stripping activity  from a couple months ago. Announcements December 10th will be our Christmas Party at Chris' Cafe at 56 E. 1700 S., Clearfield 12:45 p.m. Bring fabric that equals 1 yard for the Gift Exchange Comfort Quilts will be gathered at that time. President Maribeth asked for volunteers for Guild Positions for next year.
