Syracuse Quilters Celebrate Valentines Day

What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than with a wedding celebration.  Congratulations to our past President Jeanette Sharp as she prepares to marry her sweetheart Kevin Porter on Valentine's Day.  The guild presented this lovely heart quilt to them.

Starting our meetings with prize drawings and news from State Guild with Anita and Marilyn.  We celebrated Marilyn and Suzanne's birthdays this month as well.

Sew and Tell

Susan shared a couple of quilt tops she's made for her "Wild" boys.

Terry shared some really cute hot pads she's made to replace ALL of her hotpads at home.

Suzanne shared this wonderful quilt she's making from a blogger and teacher similar to the Gee's Bend quilts.  So much fun.

Crystal and Lindsey shared a beautiful hand quilted satin whole cloth quilt made by their mother. It features beautiful peacocks.  There is no way to capture the beauty of this quilt in photos.

Miss Anita has been busy and made two quilts using her 2 1/2 strips from last year's strip exchange

Margo made this beautiful Celtic Knot (Margo version).  So pretty and we are all rooting for Margo as she battles cancer.  Sending her lots of hugs and prayers as she enters treatment.

Another great meeting and we look forward to next month when we have a sew-in to work on a project for children in hospitals.  More to follow.
