Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Birthday Party - August 9, 1922

Seventeen years ago the Syracuse Quilt Guild was started in Syracuse, Utah.

We are going to make "Friendship Star Blocks" using the colors purple, pink and blue,

and put them together to make a quilt.

Pam has quilt batting for Charity Quilts that she purchased with Guild money.

There will be a Sew-In next month from 10am - 3pm at the Community Center.

Happy Birthday Syracuse Quilt Guild

Kathy is donating this cute little travel trailer for the Utah Quilt Guild Quilt Fest Basket.
We are going to gather things to go in the basket using the travel trailer theme.

Sew and Tell

Our new member, Valerie, used a Lori Holt pattern for this fun quilt.
Great color combinations.

Valerie showed us her  quilting skills on the back of the quilt.

Anita showed us this cute Sunbonnet Sue fabric challenge quilt.

Maribeth made these fun Shark book pillows for her grandsons.

Mardell told us that she makes 30" X 30" dog beds from her scraps.

Pam used this flag panel for a quick patriotic quilt for the Holidays.

Pam quilted this quilt for her sister whose mother-in-law passed away.

The fabric was from her mother-in-law's stash.

It will go to a new baby boy from his great-great-grandmother.

Becky made this Log Cabin lap quilt from a layer cake.

Becky's quilt for her travel trailer.

Becky's sweet baby quilt using "Under the Sea" fabric.

Nancy made this beautiful quilt.  The Missouri Star quilt pattern is called Herringbone.

It was quilted with hearts in the design.

Nancy was surprised and given a finished row quilt that Kathy's sister put together from kits

that Nancy had donated to the Guild.  From Nancy back to Nancy assembled and quilted.

This is Barbara's pretty watercolor cross quilt.

Barbara made this quilt and two others for her Mom.

Kathy with her Christmas Truck wall hanging quilt.

Kathy's Shop Hop Apple quilt table runner.

Kathy made these cute fabric donuts for everyone to take home.

We played the "Name that Block" and "Name That Notion" games with prizes for the winners.
We had real cupcakes and received fat quarters wrapped as presents.

It was a fun meeting.
