Syracuse Utah Quilt Guild Tuesday, November 8, 2022
Kathy welcomed everyone to the guild meeting. Anita did the drawing for
door prizes. Becky handed out birthday gifts for October and November.
Marilyn gave us her last report as Area Representative
with Suzanne taking over that role in January.
*Tickets for the next QuiltFest Opportunity Quilt go on sale
and can be purchased from the Area Reps.
*The Rusty Barn Quilt Show at Mountain America will be held in May.
If you buy your tickets from the Utah Guild, you will get a discount
and also a portion of the funds will go to the Utah State Quilt Guild.
*The silent auction baskets brought in $3,300 for the Utah guild.
*Mardell said the last time she checked our basket was bid at $55.
*Remote Fest will be held again in April-May.
It is a convenient and fun way to take classes at your own speed.
*There will be no Beeline in January.

Our Guild President Kathy asked those that took classes at QuiltFest to
bring and show their projects.
Maribeth and Kathy made these intertwining blocks in a class they took
from Emily Bailey.
Mardell and Becky made these Crumb quilt blocks from a class they took
also from Emily Bailey.
Becky has been working on these wonky pinwheel blocks.
Anita appliqued this beautiful fall quilt.
Jeanette showed the quilt she made for her granddaughter's wedding.
Her granddaughter was born on Christmas day.
Jennifer quilted this fun quilt.
Jennifer showed this cute quilt she made for her granddaughter's
birthday.
Maribeth is making a wedding quilt for her granddaughter's wedding.
She is marrying a farmer.
Janet showed all of these quilts she has made through the years
for the Utah State Fair using the challenge fabric.
She won some ribbons with this amazing quilts.
Our next month's meeting will be December 13, 2022, at 1:00
at Chris’ Café in Clearfield
(on Antelope across from Job Corps Center).
A gift exchange will be held
for those who wish to participate
and each person requested to bring one yard of fabric.
It can be a combination of four fat quarters, two half-yard
cuts or a one-yard cut.
There will also be a drawing for the friendship star quilt blocks and we
will announce our greeting card secret pals.
Dues are $15 per year and due in January.
