Next Year's Quilt Fest will be October 10th - 14th
The theme is "It's a Scrappy World After All"
Here's the song to go with the theme.

The Quilt Fest challenge quilt will be a 1000 piece charm scrap quilt using
2" x 3 1/2" rectangles with no two fabrics the same.
Sometimes it's called a Potato Chip block
or Brocken Courthouse Steps quilt block.
The quilt will include 56 blocks with 18 rectangles per block.
One block is for the back of the quilt.

It was decided that the Comfort Quilts we are making will be donated
to a Retirement Center in Kaysville.

Teri showed this pretty outfit she put together for her nephews wedding.
She added some machine embroidery pieces on the sleeves to make it fit.

Jeanette's Mom, Monette, showed a Halloween Panel Quilt that she hand quilted
and a fall table runner she machine appliqued.

Suzanne made the blue, brown, and orange blocks for the Sampler quilt and
Jeanette added the sashing borders, batting, backing, and binding.
It is going to be given as a comfort quilt.
Jeanette also showed the quilt she made for a great grandson.
Jeanette's daughter machine quilted both quilts.

Kathy shared with us a cute hot pad made with a yoyo variation.

She also shared this fun Halloween quilt she made using 5" squares.

Connie loves to make scrap quilts.  This is a great example.  The quilt is quilted
with a sunflower design and the back is a Sunflower print.
She also brought potato chip rectangles to share.
She says she has never ending scraps.

Janet worked at the Utah State Fair.  This is memorabilia she collected
from the artists who showed how to make bobbin lace, how to tat, etc.

Janet also designed this darling quilt from a vintage Vogue dress pattern
and received a couple of ribbons for her effort.
She always adds some yoyos as her signature.  For the quilting design
she traced the ladies using a light box.

Ruth was given this Vintage Double Wedding Ring Quilt top.  She didn't
want to finish it so she gave it away.  Connie was happy to take it.

Ruth brought her beautiful quilt she made after the fire in Waldo Canyon
near Colorado Springs.  She used a photograph of the Garden of the Gods
and projected it on the wall.

Susan used two panels to make this masculine looking quilt.
The backing is a throw from the N.P.S. store.

Amy showed her cool couch arm sewing station and sewing machine station
travel mat she made using arabesquescissors.com patterns.
 Individual pieces attach using magnets.

Barbara made these more masculine looking Comfort Quilts in honor of Margo.

This amazing scrap quilt is Barbara's version of a Potato Chip quilt.

Suzanne went to a 4-day retreat where Ruth Davis taught them various methods
to dye fabrics including T-shirts with beautiful results.

Thanks everyone for sharing!
Happy Quilting😄
Jeanette
