Announcements
We were encouraged to wear our name tags as we have lots of new members.
Lori Whitlock brought some of her fabric that she designed for Riley Blake fabrics
for those who want to buy some at a discount.
This month is National Quilt Month. If we brought a quilt pattern
we could take a pattern home.
We had drawings for fat quarters and for Nancy's donated door quilt kit.
Connie Eagle won the kit.
It was agreed to go to tour Handi Quilter next month.
Next month will be our Birthday Party.
Next month Pam will bring a pattern to use to make Quilts of Valor quilts.
Pam has batting that our Guild purchased to be used for comfort quilts.

Our Area Representative, Suzanne reminded everyone of the Rusty Barn Quilt
show at the Mountain America Expo Center May 15th - 17th.
Tickets are $8 if you purchase them
online through the Utah Quilt Guild and $12 at the door.

Utah Quilt Guild Quilt Fest is October 7th-11th at the
Davis Conference Center in Layton.
There will be a100 classes, a featured teacher, and a Quilt Show.
We were encouraged to enter a quilt if we are a members to be judged or just to show.
The quilts need to have been made in the last 2 years.
If donating a basket for auctioning please keep them small in size and cost.
Member ship dues for the Utah Quilt Guild are to be paid by April 30th.
Pam's husband's sister at 76 just married for the first time.
She married a 78 year old man who is a quilter who made this quilt.
from Connecting Threads. She quilted it using ruler work
and free motion quilting.
Nancy worked on this Kimberbell Halloween quilt for a year. It was a challenging quilt
as she had to make many blocks twice. Pam quilted it for her.
Nancy made these to give as comfort quilt from fabric donated by Suzanne.

Connie used up her gingham fabric making these comfort quilts.
She quilted them with a wrench work pattern.
Look at this fun St. Patrick's Day jacket Ruth made using an Irish Chain design
and quick bias fusible bias tape.
This cute hexagon shaped quilt was made by Susan.
Pauline entered this beautiful quilt in Quilt Fest and won a ribbon.

Maribeth showed three fun projects, a cute wall hanging, a balloon covered ball and a quilt bag.
Three quilts made for Lori's grandsons.
Jennifer quilted them all with a dragonfly pattern.
Jennifer made this quilt for her favorite Charity. She used a poly medium loft batting.
This gorgeous St. Patrick's table runner was made with applique shamrocks and Celtic knots.
